Welcome to The Club

Since 1961, the Public Schools Club has occupied the Edwardian home in which Sir William Henry Bragg and his family lived. It was in this very building (that dates from 1899) that he began his pioneering work on X-ray crystallography, for which he and his son received the 1915 Nobel physics prize. One of Adelaide's best kept secrets, the Public Schools Club provides a great place where Members may bring groups of their friends and associates - for business and pleasure. Members enjoy the benefits of using our facilities, reduced room hire rates, access to the Members' Wine Cellar, and a 10% discount on restaurant purchases.

Accommodation

The Club features boutique accommodation in two well-appointed double rooms on the second floor, with share bathroom facilities. Rates start at $100 for Members, $110 for reciprocal club members and $120 for others. Our Club Members enjoy access to reciprocal arrangements we have with many interstate and overseas clubs, eg the East India Club (London), the Lotos Club (New York City), the National Club (Toronto) and others you will find listed on our website.
